Need Support with LGBTQ Issues?

GAY COUPLE 2.jpeg

Struggling with your sexual orientation can be a lonely and emotional challenge. It’s even harder if your friends, family members or your community do not understand or accept you for the wonderful person you are.

If you are struggling with your sexuality, you may find comfort in having a safe, nonjudgmental space to explore these issues.  It is important to have an ally during these times, especially because lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and questioning (LGBTQ) individuals face real issues, like discrimination, that put them at higher risk for emotional distress and suicidal thoughts. I promise to be your ally as an out mental health provider myself who celebrates belonging to the LGBTQ community.

If you need support exploring your sexual orientation, coming out or just dealing with pressures related to being a member of the LGBTQ community, I am glad to be your ally. You can also turn to The Trevor Project for confidential, 24/7 support from a trained counselor by calling 866-488-7386 or seeking help via text or chat.
